Rotary Club of Colombo South - District Rotary Foundation Seminar

What is Rotary?

Rotary is a worldwide organisation of more than 1.2 Million business, professional and community leaders.

Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill & peace in the world.

There are 34,000+ Rotary clubs in 211 countries & geographical areas of the world. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious & open to all cultures, races & creeds. As signified by its motto, "Service Above Self", Rotary’s main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace and throughout the world.

Rotary E-Club - Meetings

Meetings of the Rotary E-Club Infinity are held online. A post will be uploaded on Wednesday's at 1.30 P.M./ 13.30hrs Sri Lanka time (GMT 8.00hrs).

A member should read the post at his/ her convenience during the week and provide input/ feedback by sharing their ideas/ thoughts & comments. Attendance is counted when a member logs on for 30+ minutes at any one time. For eg: 36 online visits during the year will translate to a 75% attendance record. Await a fb page too.

Rotary Infinity will also provide 10-12 opportunities for members to meet, greet and get to know each other in an atmosphere of fellowship and or Service project based activity - Eg: Club Charter/ Installation, Dist. Conference, RI Convention, Int'l Evenings & Service projects etc.

Wherever Rotary Infinity members may live/ come from (currently only from Planet Earth), they are encouraged to participate in at least 6 Rotary events/ meetings/ activities of their choice per year, anywhere in the world. This is to enhance their networking and fellowship opportunities and to enrich their Rotary experience.

Infinity Membership Fees/ Dues

Admission Fee - US $25 each

Semi-annual Dues - US $100

2nd Family Member/ Spouse - US $66 semi-annually

Payments to be made by 1 June & 1 January each year. Current RI Exchange rate: US $1 = LKR 132/-. Rotary Infinity semi annual dues may increase by US $1 each year.

Other costs a member may have to incurr include - US $12 per person (Couple US $20) when attending the scheduled Rotary celebrations, fellowship meetings & events + any other voluntary contributions towards Service Projects or to The Rotary Foundation (TRF) for "Doing Good in the World". RI recommends a US$100 per capita annual contribution to TRF.
